 - Basic Life Support Equipment Standards

- Steps for using AED
1. Open the AED tool
2 usually the device turns on automatically
3. Attach the PAD to the middle of the chest and the outside of the left chest (according to the picture on the PAD)
4. Usually the tool will immediately perform rhythm analysis
5. Press the shock button if the tool orders it
6. Immediately perform cardiac compressions for 2 minutes or until the device tells you to stop.
7. If shock or shock is not recommended by the tool. If you can't feel a pulse, continue chest compressions.
